Wastewater Screening
Wastewater Screening
Wastewater screening involves a mechanical-physical process aimed at removing part of the sedimentable organic substances from the effluent. Located upstream of depuration plants (either civil or industrial), these machines remove materials and substances which, due to their nature and size, may damage the equipment and jeopardize the efficiency of subsequent treatment phases.
The wastewater screening process has the purpose of retaining both non-sedimentable and sedimentable coarse solids. The screen is installed inside the inlet channel of the plant fed by the collector placed at the terminus of the sewer.
In order for the screen to function properly, exhaust back pressure must be absent.
The choice of screw screens depends on various parameters linked to the type of plant, the installation site environmental features, as well as the type and size of the suspended solids being treated.
X2 Solutions offers a complete range of standard and customized screening systems, including the construction and sale of screw screens for pre-treating any kind of wastewater.
