COMBINED UNIT WITH DEGREASING SYSTEM
We supply combined units equipped with a degreasing system, which has the task of performing a primary screening step to extract solids and fatty oils from effluent by means of a screw screen.
DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION OF COMBINED UNITS
Combined units are designed to remove sands, oils and greases. The effluent passes through the screen while suspended solids remain trapped. This causes the level of the upstream liquid to rise. When the liquid reaches a preset value, the screw screen activates and starts cleaning the screen. The screenings are washed as they are separated from the liquid to reduce their organic matter content and may undergo further washing in the conveyor zone. The screenings are moved to the screw compactor zone where they are compressed before being discharged. After passing through the screen, the effluent enters the sedimentation hopper where desanding occurs. Coarse and fine air bubbles generated by an air blower facilitate the sand sedimentation process, while the flotation of greasy substances occurs. The sand deposited inside the hopper is lifted and dewatered before being discharged by a shaftless screw conveyor. Following flotation, the greasy substances are collected by a scraper and discharged through a dedicated pipeline. The water level inside the sedimentation hopper is preset to optimize sand separation and flotation of greasy substances. The effluent discharged from the system is now ready to undergo further treatment.
