SHAFTLESS SCREW CONVEYORS
Our screw conveyors of the shaftless type are designed to handle greater flow rates and are suitable for transporting heterogeneous or tangled materials that tend to cause machine blockages. This particular machine is designed to convey screenings, sands, granular substances and sludge.
The material is transported by a thick shaftless spiral that slides along an anti-friction and anti-wear coating at the bottom of a trough.

SHAFTLESS SCREW CONVEYOR MOD. X-CONV
Shaftless screw conveyors consist of a power-driven, shaftless helicoid flight that rotates inside a trough to convey the material – fed by one or more hoppers – towards one or more discharge outlets, which can be fitted with a slide valve. The absence of a central shaft makes these machines suitable for transporting sticky materials such as sludge and screenings that tend to wrap around the screw spiral, causing a reduction in the flow rate over time.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The machine may have a pull or a push configuration:
- “pull”: the gear motor located downstream of the discharge outlet drags the material towards the outlet.
- “push”: the material is pushed by the screw spiral towards the outlet.
The system can be activated by connecting the gear motor directly to the spiral, or via a gear motor – chain flanged shaft spiral transmission system.
The working range of the conveyor is typically between 0° and 30°; machine performance decreases as the inclination increases. Contact us to inquire about our products!
