Mod. SET1<\/h2>\n

Longitudinal hoppers are designed to classify and separate grit by gravity<\/strong>. Thanks to the swirling motion generated by a blower, the sand separates from the organic matter. The specific weight of organic matter is greater than that of water and as such, organic matter sinks to the bottom where a screw conveyor moves it to a collection pit. Finally, an inclined extractor screw removes the solids from the machine. The water, rich in organic substances, overflows and exits the unit through an apposite discharge outlet.<\/p>\n

Effluent is conveyed by a feeding hopper where solids and particles sedimentation occurs. The screw conveyor lifts the sandy material out from the hopper and moves it to the discharge outlet<\/strong>. Once the sand is separated from the water, it is washed with clean water by means of a spray nozzle; the unclean water is conveyed back to the tank while clean sand continues to be lifted by the screw.<\/p>\n

During the initial phase, before the sand is discharged from the machine, it is necessary to wait for the solid material to stratify on the channel. Once a \u201csand bed\u201d of adequate size has formed, the equipment proceeds to discharge the solids<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
